Jodie van de Wetering
I am based in Rockhampton on Darrumbal Country. I started their career as a journalist and broadcaster before moving into corporate communications. While working with one of the country’s largest NDIS LAC Partners in the Community. I did one of our first Zoom-based Easy English writing courses in 2020, which sparked a passion for accessible communication which eventually led to them joining the Access Easy English team. I am neurodivergent and has loved ones and friends who aren’t native English speakers or who have a disability. That means they know firsthand how important it is for everyone to be able to access the information they need, in a format they can use.

I am an avid reader, writer and lover of words and language, and have a passion for supporting people to live fulfilling and meaningful lives. I am excited to be working creating accessible, usable and interesting information for underrepresented communities.
